Cara-Friend LGBT Youth Belfast took part in an eight-week creative arts programme from January-March, facilitated by Wheelworks. The focus was on representation in media and LGBT advocacy. The young people were involved in creating art installations that represented their own identity as young LGBT people.
The exhibition was launched on Thursday, April 14th at an event at Belfast Harbour. The event celebrated the talent and achievement of the young participants who worked in partnership with professional artists to creatively explore issues close to them whilst developing their visual art and photography skills.
You can have a look at some of the pictures from the launch, as well photos of some of the art works on display.
Cara-Friend are very thankful to Wheelworks for providing the young people with the opportunity to explore their creative talent and working on a project of this scale.
